My name is Oleksandr Shcherba and I am a Computer Security student at Rochester Institute of Technology in Dubai. This summer, I was fortunate enough to land an internship opportunity at DTS Solution, a leading cyber security consulting & advisory firm based in Dubai. During my internship at DTS Solution, I have experienced and learned many different aspects of blockchain and cyber security.
From the very first day with DTS Solution, everyone welcomed me as a member of the team and genuinely expected me to make a contribution. My internship at DTS Solution was divided into two parts. For the first 6 weeks, I was assigned to learn how the blockchain technology works, identify all projects that are built on top it, and explore different blockchain platforms. During the last 6 weeks, I spend my time with the DTS Red Team to learn about different types of penetration testing programs. My internship showed me new techniques to find vulnerabilities in critical assets.
Overall, my internship experience at DTS Solution was positive. I was very happy with the amount of things that I have learned and experienced in the 12 weeks of being a Blockchain and Cyber Security Intern with the company. I learned more than I ever expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my internship this summer and now have very valuable experience under my belt. I know this will help me when looking for jobs and needing references.
